Imagine having a dream but no means to achieve it. For Agness Frank, a bright and determined 15-year-old, the dream of becoming a nurse feels painfully out of reach. Agnes, her 9 siblings, and their mother were forced to move in with extended family after her father passed away when she was young. The family has limited income and a lot of mouths to feed. Due to food insecurity, Agness faces daily struggles just to attend school. She often walks 9 kilometers to class on an empty stomach, studies by the dim glow of a battery-powered torch (when they can afford batteries), and lacks basic school supplies.

Sadly Agness’ story is not unique. Thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children in Malawi are at risk of dropping out due to poverty. Without support, their futures remain uncertain. But you can change that.
